The Nanchang Uprising of August 1, 1927.

The first shot of armed resistance against the Kuomintang reactionaries was fired.

It proclaimed the Communist Party of China’s independent leadership of the revolutionary army,

and the creation of a revolutionary army.

July 11, 1933

The Provisional Central Government of the Chinese Soviet Republic

decided to designate August 1 as the anniversary of the founding of the

anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Red Army of Workers and Peasants.

After the founding of the People’s Republic of China

The anniversary was renamed the Founding Day of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army.
